The former Falmouth Towage Company (FTC) tug St Piran has gone to a scrap yard in Belgium for demolition.
The tug MTS Viscount from Falmouth-based Marine Towage Services towed the St Piran from Ostend to Ghent. Built in 1960 as the Dalegarth, St Piran saw service in Milford Haven until purchased by the FTC in 1980 where she provided sterling service until sold in 2007.
Her last master was Maurice “Mossy” Fuller
