Mylor meeting to discuss housing development
1:00pm Sunday 27th May 2012 in News
A public meeting to discuss a controversial new housing development in Mylor Bridge will be held tomorrow.
The meeting, which begins at 7.30pm in the village's Ord Statter Pavilion, will debate the positives and negatives of a proposed 30 house development on land off of Bells Hill.
Jan Robson, from the Mylor Conservation Group, said: "The major development of 30 dwellings, 20 as affordable homes and ten for sale on the open market, has considerable opposition from Mylor villagers, already struggling with traffic problems and questioning the safety of building family homes on a main road into the village.
"This development is too big, on an inappropriate site and does not have a clear support from the local community."
The meeting is open to all.
