Heartlands in Pool will be pulling out all the stops for a Bank Holiday weekend of Jubilee celebrations.
What's ON: HEARTLANDS BIG JUBILEE LUNCH 3 June. 12 noon – 4pm Heartlands joins the nationwide Big Lunch for the first time as the country celebrates the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Come along for a special lunch with neighbours and friends at Heartlands and enjoy delicious food, great music and good company as well as our very own Jubilee fun!
Bring your own picnic or take advantage of our £20.12 meal deal in the Red River Cafe.
Live music from John Dowling and Friends.
Bouncy Castle, Art and Craft Workshops including Jubilee Mug Painting, Jewellery Making, Soap Workshops and Crown Making.
Admission FREE* GOING UNDERGROUND 2-9 June 11am – 4pm From crystals to creepy crawlies to a labyrinth of tunnels – what really goes on underneath Heartlands? Meet the miner; learn about crystals that do more than just sparkle; and uncover the creatures who have made the maze of mine tunnels under the ground their home.
Workshops and event activities including crystal talks, meet the miner, mini beast trails and bug mask-making every day from 11am-4pm. Art and craft workshops will also be running through the week in our creative studios including jewellery workshops, porcelain and silk painting, mirror making, fimo modelling, soap making and more.
Admission FREE* WORLDWIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY Sunday 10 June 11am – 4.30pm World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each others company as knitting is often such a solitary act. This a specific day to get out of the house (with your knitting in tow) and come to Heartlands to meet other knitting enthusiasts and for those who don’t knit? Come along too and be inspired by our experts’ work and learn how you can get handy with a knitting needle.
Activities include a craft fair, knitting, felting, lacing, children and adult workshops.
