Twentieth Royal Academy exhibition honour for Crelly Artist

AN ARTIST from Crelly, near Helston, has been selected to have her work displayed in the royal Academy’s annual summer exhibition for the 20th year running.

Part time University College Falmouth lecturer and long standing exhibitor Lisa Wright, will be featured in the 244-year-old annual exhibition alongside Mabe sculptor Tim Shaw and Brill artist Maxine Hart.

The Summer Exhibition, which is the world’s largest open submission contemporary art show, attracts much interest from both emerging and established artists, with more than 11,000 entries received this year.

The majority of the works on display are for sale, offering visitors to the event, which runs until August 12 at the Royal Academy’s home in Piccadilly, London, an opportunity to purchase artwork by high profile and up-and-coming artists.

Admission costs £10 for adults, with reductions for concessions.
