Newquay Airport loses link to East Midlands Airport

Newquay airport has lost yet another route after the buyers of BMI Baby said the link to East Midlands Airport would be scrapped.

The budget airline BMIBaby has stopped eight of its routes from East Midlands Airport.

Belfast, Amsterdam, Paris, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Geneva, Nice, will be taken over by other budget airlines.

BMI Regional was sold for £8m in May to Aberdeen based consortium International Airlines Group.

Flights to Newquay from the airport will not be replaced
