Further weather warnings issued for Cornwall

Another weather warning has been issued for Cornwall, as June's wet and windy conditions show no sign of abating.

An initial warning had already been issued for today, for heavy showers which could lead to potential localised flooding.

A second warning has now been issued, covering Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The weather warning, issued by the Met Office, states: "A spell of wet and windy weather with periods of persistent heavy rain will affect parts of Wales and Southwestern England from late Thursday through Friday and Saturday.

"The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding."

It is the fourth weather warning issued for the area in the past ten days.
