Get a taste of life at Falmouth Marine School

Falmouth Marine School will be throwing open its doors on Saturday to give prospective students of all ages the chance to explore the college.
The event runs from 10am until noon, with those who attend able to get a feel for student life, meet staff and students, explore the various departments and gather information on the various courses on offer.
Advice and guidance will be provided on finance, accommodation and courses and qualifications in boatbuilding, watersports, marine engineering and marine science.
Students will be working on their projects in the engineering workshop and marine biology laboratory and will be on hand to talk to visitors.
Tours of the boatbuilding and fibre reinforced plastics workshops at Ponshardon are also available.
Students looking to start a degree course in 2012 will have the opportunity to discuss tuition fees and their eligibility for financial aid.
Head of College, David Stedman, said: "We have a lot to offer prospective students and our schedule of open events is a perfect way to assist them in the decisions they have to make about their futures."
