Camborne carer in court for neglect and ill treatment at care home

A former carer from Camborne appeared in court last week, accused of seven counts of ill treatment or wilful neglect at a St Ives nursing home.

Fiona Sally Salmon, aged 39, of Fore Street, is alleged to have mistreated seven patients over a five month period at Cornwallis Nursing Home, which caters for those suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease in particular.

The case was adjourned until August 9 for committal to crown court.
