TRADERS on one of Falmouth’s most interesting shopping streets in Falmouth, The Old High Street, has its shoulder fully behind Independents Day (Wednesday).
Co-ordinator Nick Dobson, who runs Kitchen & Gifts, has distributed window posters to most of the traders on the street who are ready to greet new customers on the day. Nick said: “Most of our customers realise how important our high streets are. It is where real life happens, where people interact and shop for their households.
“Some think we earn our living through tourists and visitors from cruise ships, but it is our local customers who return time and again that are the most important.
“Today is an opportunity for those Falmothians to come and support local businesses on the High Street and indulge themselves in the process.”
“You can find interiors shop, fashions, gifts, bars, restaurants, cafes, a cook shop, book shop, healthfood store, opticians, sports shop and a hairdressers in The Old High Street.”
