Helston and Falmouth branches of Julian Graves are facing an uncertain future after their national parent company went into administration.
There have been sale signs in the windows of both shops for the last few weeks and on Monday it was confirmed that Julian Graves Limited had called in the administrators.
It has been confirmed that they intend to continue trading the businesses as usual and no staff redundancies are currently planned. Helston’s branch is in Meneage Street and Falmouth’s in Market Street.
Christopher James Farrington, Neville Barry Kahn and Lee Antony Manning, all of Deloitte LLP, have been appointed as joint administrators of the company.
They said in a statement: “The first priority of the joint administrators is to assess the financial position of the company and consider the options available. It is the joint administrators’ intention, therefore, to continue to trade the business whilst these options are explored.
“Accordingly, no redundancies are currently proposed and all employees' wages will be met and paid as normal. “Please be aware that the administrators have been appointed over Julian Graves Limited only.”
