No change at top of Helston's Downsland Charity

There is no change at the top following the Annual General Meeting of the Helston Downsland Charity.

Trustee Keith Reynolds was once again elected to the post of chairman during the meeting held at the Guildhall. John Martin, also a trustee, was voted in as deputy chairman.

Both men thanked the remaining trustees for their confidence in electing them.

The charity has recently asked students in the town to help design a logo for the charity.

The charity has set a competition for students in year nine through to year 13 in the sixth form at Helston Community College.

They are being asked to design a logo that can be used for public display by organisations that have received grants from the Downsland Charity.

Its trustees and a local artist will judge the competition, with a £50 prize given to the student who creates the winning entry.

The suggestion that a logo should be created was put forward by trustee Mike Thomas.
