IT IS time to start hunting in the attic and in the back of the garage for any hidden treasures as the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow prepares to come to Falmouth.

The popular programme will be filmed at the National Maritime Museum on Thursday, September 13, between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

If the weather allows, filming will also take place outdoors in Events Square.

The Mayor of Falmouth, Geoffrey Evans, a self-proclaimed fan of the show, said he was looking forward to the crew’s arrival.

He said: “I am thoroughly excited by the prospect of the programme’s visit, and I am sure that the publicity for Falmouth will prove to be definitely beneficial for the town. “It will be good to see all the treasures which Falmouth comes up with.” Experts will be on hand from 9.30am.
