Fun, games and music planned for Helford Passage Regatta
3:00pm Friday 10th August 2012 in News
Helford Passage Regatta will take place on Saturday, in aid of Falmouth RNLI.
Last year the event raised more than £1,200 for the charity. The day kicks off at noon with a children’s fancy dress competition for under ten’s with this year’s theme being, The Olympics.
The rest of the day’s events include swimming, running, beach and boat races. There will be face painting, a sandcastle competition and a guess the weight of the lobster competition – with the winner taking away the freshly cooked crustacean.
The Ferryboat Inn will be doing a hog roast. The celebrations will reach their climax on the terrace of the Ferryboat Inn, with live acoustic guitar music from Jo Horne at 6.30pm, followed by local band, In Colour, from 9pm until late. For more details email paul@bluemoonventures.
