A court case involving a Falmouth man was adjourned last week after the prosecutor branded it a “waste of time”.
Harry Stephen Perry, aged 22, of Prislow Lane, stands accused of three counts of assault on May 27.
At Truro Magistrates’ Court last Thursday he pleaded guilty to one of the charges, but denied the other two.
Chris Hart, prosecuting, was frustrated by the lack of witness statements in a case dating back more than two months.
“To avoid an exercise in futility and guesswork the most sensible course of action would be to adjourn it,” he said, visibly irritated.
“But we are all talking about things we have not seen yet so quite honestly even talking about it is probably a waste of time.”
The case was adjourned until September 6.
