Camborne woman's £9,247 benefit fraud

A woman from Camborne has received an 18 month conditional discharge in for Housing and Council Tax benefit fraud totalling £9247.90.
Roberta Cleere, aged 34 year old, of Grenville Gardens, Troon, Camborne pleaded guilty at Truro Magistrates Court on Tuesday 14 August 2012 to two counts of failing to promptly report to Cornwall Council that she had returned to work at the Cornish Riding School.
Mrs Cleere was sentanced to a 18 months conditional discharge, she was also ordered to pay £250 costs to Cornwall Council.
The overpaid benefits are being recovered from Mrs Cleere by the Council separately from this Court action.
