Tickets are now available for next month's new Helston Harvest Fair entertainment evenings.

This year celebrations will begin with a concert called Songs From the Shows, featuring a cast of 90 people of all ages from ACT1 youth group and ACT2 cabaret group.

To be staged with military precision, it will feature songs from musicals such as Les Miserables, Sister Act, Rent, Chicago and My Fair Lady.

Tickets are free for this event, which will staged on Friday, September 7 at the Epworth Hall. They are available from Heathercraft in Coinagehall Street.

The following day, September 8, there will be a barn dance in the hall from 7.30pm, featuring seven-piece band Whipple Tree. During this event there is a cash bar with Spingo on tap.

Tickets for the dance cost £4 for adults, £2 for children and £10 for a family ticket of two adults and three children. They can be bought at Heathercraft in advance, or on the door for £1 more for individual tickets and £5 more for a family ticket.
