Port chippy in the pink for charity

Customers have continued to show their love for a heart-themed fundraising project that started in Porthleven.

Since February Roland’s Happy Plaice has dramatically changed their look into an all-pink fish and chip shop in support of Cancer Research.

Hundreds of pink hearts now hang from the ceiling containing messages, while staff don their pink T-shirts in their entirely pink-painted shop.

Customers pay £2 to write a message on a heart to a loved one. There have been dedications from China, Canada, America and Germany as well as throughout Britain, with £1,600 already raised. The project will continue until December.
