A MEETING is to be held in Penzance later this month to organise opposition to the Government 's austerity cuts.
It is being organised by the Penwith Anti-Cuts Alliance, and will take place at the Lugger Hotel on Tuesday, September 25 at 7.30pm.
A spokesman for the alliance said: “It is a public meeting for everyone opposed to all the unnecessary cuts, privatisations and job losses we are suffering from.
“We will discuss the scale of the attacks we face and what we can do to stop them. “We will hear from local trade unionists, a local councillor as well as a Penwith Anti-Cuts Alliance speaker.
“There will also be plenty of time for you to have your say.
“We will be urging everyone to go on the demonstration in London on Saturday, October 20 too. There will be coaches going from Cornwall. “If you leave your name and contact details with us we will find you a place on a coach which is either free or heavily subsidised.”
