'Cornucopia of musical delights' planned for Music Truro 2012

Organizers of this years’ Music Truro Festival, billed as a cornucopia of musical delights across the city, are on the lookout for local players.

The festival, organised by Truro-based company Event Cornwall and Totally Truro, the city’s business improvement district (BID) will start on Monday, October 15 with music performances at a variety of unexpected locations.

Neil Scott, BID manager for Totally Truro said: “We are looking for musicians of all ages and abilities to take part in two very exciting and ground breaking musical events to take place on the Saturday, October 20 in the centre of Truro.

“We want this festival to be inclusive to everyone, no matter of ability or experience. I can’t give too much away at this stage, but let’s just say it’s not going to be X-Factor. Music Truro is about coming together, collaborating and celebrating, not competing for 15 minutes of fame.”

He added: “If you have an old violin that you haven’t played for a few years, or are a closet guitarist register with the team to save your place for what will be the musical event of the calendar.
