Boat owners on the Lizard Peninsula are warned to be vigilant over the next couple of months to prevent a spike in Crime rates.
September and October traditionally see a rise in boat crime, as owners are not taking their boats so regularly due to a drop in sailing conditions.
PCSO Julia Berry, from Helston Police Station, said: “Just be mindful of boat security. Crime has dropped off recently but coming to the end of the season people aren't visiting their boats every day.”
There was a spree of thefts in April and PCSO Berry said she was keen for this not to be repeated.
