Small fall in Cornish unemployment level

The unemployment level in Cornwall has fallen by a very small amount since July, figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show.

In August 8,635 people were out of work, down 31 from 8666 in July, about 2.6% of the county's workforce.

Compared against this time last year, unemployment in the Duchy has risen with 248 more people out of work and claiming benefit compared to August 2011.
