Armed police in hunt for Fraddon scratchcard robber

Armed police are hunting a robber who made off with lottery scratch cards from a petrol station at Fraddon.

A police helicopter was also drafted in to help search follwoing the armed robbery at the Shell Garage at Fraddon just off the A30 near Kingsley Village.

Officers were called to reports of a male with a handgun who made off with a quantity of scratchcards from the garage around 10.30pm on Monday.

Armed and unarmed officers supported by the Police helicopter were involved in a search of the area.

The suspect is described as being a white male in his late teens/early twenties. He was wearing a blue striped top and a green balaclava.

Inspector Andy Oliver said: "I would like to assure the public that incidents of this nature are luckily few and far between in the two counties. No-one was injured and I would urge anyone with information to get in contact on the 101 telephone number quoting log 801 of 17th September to help quickly bring the suspect to justice.’
