Firefighters were scrambled to a two car crash in Falmouth last week after reports of a casualty trapped inside a vehicle.
The accident was reported to the police at 5.29pm on Friday, after a red Peugeot 207 and a black Ford Focus crashed near Falmouth Town Football Club’s Bickland Park ground.
Two fire engines from Falmouth and the rescue tender from Camborne were called to the scene, at the corner of Conway Road and Bickland Water Road.
The police cordoned off the area for up to an hour, leading to long delays in both directions.
Both cars were registered to Falmouth addresses and two occupants of the Peugeot were reported as being taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske for “precautionary checks”.
