St Just Zumba in aid of severely disabled little girl

A fundraising Zumba night in aid of a severely disabled little girl will be held in St Just town hall this weekend.
Eight-year-old Nicole Sands suffers from Aicardi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder in which the structure connecting the two halves of the brain is partly or completely missing.
The Zumba Party aims to raise £210 to buy a new controller for Nicole’s wheelchair lift, which is used with her parent’s van to transport her to respite, home and hospital.
Organiser Samantha Walsh said: “It is also Nicole’s birthday on October 3 so anything extra could buy her something lovely for her birthday.”
The Zumba Party will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday with instructors Catherine Campbell and Jeanie Lloyd.
A small raffle made up of donated prizes, which range from a month’s membership of Penzance Leisure Centre to a Sunday carvery at the Station House and The Godolphin Arms in Marazion, will also be available.
Samantha said: “If possible, could those who are coming on Saturday be there about 15 or 20 minutes early so there is time to buy raffle tickets and get settled before we start.
“For dress, think bright, beautiful and sparkly – but suitable for two hours of Zumba!”
Tickets cost £6 in advance or £8 on the door.
