New Penryn charity shop to support local projects

Penryn has a new community-focused charity shop on its main street, designed to give grants and raise funds for local projects. Penryn Treasures, on Higher Market Street, is part of the Highway Church and has opened in the old Cornish Hospice Care shop.
It will be run by a not-for-profit charity set up specifically for that purpose and aims to raise money for the Highway’s own projects, such as the Falmouth and Penryn Foodbank, as well as giving grants to outside organisations.
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 5pm and on Saturday from 9.30am until 1pm.
Donations are always welcome and anyone wanting more information about grants, or who wants to volunteer, can call in during opening hours.
