Brave Penzance dessert fans have the chance to take on as much cake as they can eat this week, as part of a cancer charity's annual nationwide fundraising drive.
The free Macmillan Big Coffee Morning will be held at St John's Hall on Wednesday from 10am to 6pm.
Alongside home-made cakes and cream teas, the usual hot beverages will be on sale and there will also be a fundraising raffle.
Mini Indian-head massages and manicures available for those looking for a bit of pampering while younger visitors can have a go at a lucky dip.
Then at 4.30pm the Man v Cake event will take place, where those brave enough can try to polish off a massive portion of cakes. There is a £10 entry fee to participate and several competitors are already signed-up.
Organisers are also doing a cake-run to workplaces within one mile of Penzance, for people to buy from the selection they bring.
For more information, to sign up for the Man v Cake event or to book a stop on the cake-run contact Rachel on 07716 556555.

In 2011 51,000 people signed up to the coffee morning, raising a record £10 million.
