Titan-ic fun at High School's fayre
Titan the Robot proved a hugely popular visitor to Truro High School’s autumn fayre.
Whether dancing, interacting with the crowd, intimidating them or squirting water, the giant automaton kept everyone – both adults and children alike – well entertained.
The annual event is organised by the school’s parent teacher association to raise funds for additional school equipment.
There were clothes, books, plants, greeting cards and handmade jewellery for sale, plus delicious cakes and refreshments.
A new parents’ tea was held at the same time – providing an opportunity to meet new people whilst pupils had fun watching Titan, playing games or browsing the stalls.
PTA chairman Sarah Thomson said: “We raised £300 which will be put towards augmenting the current stock of sound and lighting systems in the brand new music and drama block that is currently being built.
“Titan was a massive hit – one parent gave me £5 just for seeing him.”
Parents and staff involved in organising the fayre included Sue Hart, Claire Brewer, Chris Ryan, Michelle Hammock, Amanda Barnsley, Kitty Van Den Heuvel, Antoinette McLean, Ellie Winn, Chris Jenkins and new school Development Officer Fiona Osman.
