Ice cream war in Falmouth

Two ice cream sellers have applied for the one remaining pitch available at Pendennis Point in Falmouth.

John Caulkin of Corky’s Ice Cream and Daniel King of King’s Ice Cream both submitted their applications on the same day last month.

Councillors at the town council’s planning committee said they could not decide which applicant deserved the slot, so would invite both to address the committee before a decision was made.

Missed opportunity there!

Why not get the two guys set up on the Moor maybe and have two classes of children queuing up.

Whoever serves all the kids with the cornets first gets the pitch!

Why not put those hands together?

I say build King Corky's ice cream emporium at the end of the point where those picnic tables are.

They could even have a drive-thru...

Going by the state of the car park at Castle Point it should be given to whichever of the two operators who has an off-road capable ice cream van!
