A student from Helston who stands accused of falsifying an official police document appeared in court this week.
Joshua Pope, of Bosnoweth, is alleged to have driven without insurance on May 29.
When he was stopped by the police and handed a “producer” ticket, which required him to bring his insurance documents to his local police station, he is then accused of altering information on the ticket and trying to pass it off as genuine on June 6.
The 20-year-old, who is a student at Bristol University, could now be charged with a further offence of perverting the course of justice.
The case was adjourned until October 18 for further investigations to take place.
