UPDATE: A30 at Camborne reopens after serious collision

The A30 eastbound between Hayle and Tolvaddon has reopened after being closed this morning following a serious collision between a Daihatsu van, registered to Camborne, and a cyclist.

Police were called to the accident, on the eastbound carriageway near the Camborne junction, at 9.30am

The air ambulance has attended the scene and one casualty, a Camborne man aged in his 50s, has been airlifted to Treliske Hospital with serious injuries.

He suffered serious head and chest injuries and remains at Tresliske Hospital.

The road reopened to traffic at 4pm.
