A Truro-based solar panel business has proved to be a shining example nationally.
Cornwall Solar Panels, based at Blackwater, was named best renewable installer in the UK at the nationally acclaimed Renewables Roadshow awards in Coventry.
The award recognised the company's customer service, installations and contribution to the solar industry. Cornwall Solar Panels were also praised for their charitable support of local sustainability projects.
Tony Sampson, managing director of Cornwall Solar Panels, was presented the award by BBC presenter Gabby Logan at an awards ceremony in Coventry City's Ricoh arena.
The ceremony, attended by over 800 industry professionals from across the UK, began with comedy from Omid Djalili and Nina Conti before the prize giving.
Mr Sampson said: “It's great to bring this award back to Cornwall. Bringing home such a high accolade is priceless. The whole team at Cornwall Solar Panels are very proud.”
Cornwall Solar Panels installs solar electric and solar thermal panels across Cornwall and Devon. Despite being operational for less than two years the company has already scooped three awards in the last 12 months.
