Camborne Nursery School is hosting a clutter-busting jumble sale next week, to help local residents spruce up their houses in time for Christmas.
The event, which takes place next Wednesday from 3pm until 4.30pm and on Thursday from 9am until 10.30am, will raise funds for the Sunshine Room children's centre at the nursery.
Textiles, shoes, belts bags, clothes, soft toys, books, CD's and DVD's can all be donated for the sale until Monday (October 15).
After the jumble sale, a “Bag2School” event will be held to collect the left over textiles and soft toys on October 25. These Bag2School is a textile recycling scheme that pays by the kilogram, collecting and selling unwanted textiles to importers and wholesalers in Eastern and Western Europe, Africa and Asia.
Sue Thomas, Sunshine Room manager said: “This is a great fundraising opportunity, many people like a pre-Christmas clear and we will be delighted to receive your offerings.
“Please ask grandparents, friends and neighbours - it all helps! “The jumble sale itself will be a fun event, refreshments will be available and it would be lovely to see past, present and future faces. Everyone is welcome.”
