A HALLOWEEN ghost hunt will be held at Flambards when the South West Paranormal Team (SWPT) returns to the attraction for the third time. The event will take place on Saturday, October 27, and the public are welcome to attend.

A spokesman for the SWPT said: “Previous similar inspections of Flambards’ historic exhibits have revealed a surprising and, for some people, shocking, amount of psychic activity - from gentle sobbing to extensive conversations, wild temperature fluctuations to mysterious orbs of light.

“This investigation will split into four groups, each of which will spend an hour in the War Gallery, Britain in the Blitz and two sections of the Victorian Village.

“The SWPT leaders will use a variety of equipment and techniques to contact and discover spirits, including the tilt table, thermometers to monitor temperature fluctuations, video and photographic equipment.”

Flambards’ head of marketing, Susie Hale, who took part in an earlier investigation, said: “I’ve always been a bit sceptical about ‘ghost hunting’ but my experience with the South West Paranormal Team has altered that view. “I experienced such definite activity it was impossible to ignore. Strangely, it wasn’t frightening.”

The third public paranormal investigation will take place between 7pm and midnight, with tickets costing £17.50 per person and available to over 18s only. A free hot drink will be served at 9.30pm. People are advised to bring a snack and a torch and wear clothing and footwear suitable for cool, night time conditions.

Bookings must be made in advance via telephone on 01326 573404 or in person at the Flambards office. No bookings will be accepted after 3pm on Friday, October 26.
