Tasty treats filled Gunwalloe Village Hall for a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Decorated cupcakes, cookies, cream filled cakes and chocolate slices were all on offer to hungry visitors. Youngsters could occupy themselves with colouring, while their parents enjoyed a chat over an iced bun.

There was also a raffle well stocked with prizes. As a result of the two-hour event £525 was raised for the charity.

Sam Folds, one of the main organisers, described the amount collected as “phenomenal.” She said: “A massive thank you to everybody who made today such a huge success. To those who came, ate cake and donated money, those who baked the gorgeous cakes, those who donated the wonderful raffle prizes and to everyone who washed dishes, sold raffle tickets and tidied up – thank you.”
