Penryn crackdown on dog fouling
Penryn police officers are cracking down on dog mess after residents voted it the “top priority”.
PCSO Lewis Vague said this followed the results of the “Have Your Say” survey last week, which allows residents to tell officers what they feel local police priorities should be.
He said: “Along with Cornwall Council and Penryn Town Council we will do our best to target this issue over the next three months.
“If you are caught letting your dog foul in a public place and fail to clean it up you will be issued with an £80 fixed penalty.
A man was issued with a penalty ticket on the day of the announcement after letting his dog foul Lower Market Street in Penryn.
