Open days at Camborne nursery
Camborne Nursery School is hosting a series of open days for the parents and carers of prospective pupils.
The nursery, for children aged two-and-a-half to five years old, was rated as “outstanding” at its latest Ofsted inspection and has achieved above average scores in all 13 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage assessments.
Carrie Richards, the newly appointed deputy head, said: “The children did particularly well in communication and literacy, personal, social and emotional development and knowledge and understanding of the world.
“This reflects effective teaching and observations, high levels of children's well being and a high level of staff training, impacting on the high levels of achievement all in all areas.
“Children on entry to the nursery started at below national and county age expectations and the majority leave working above age expectations.”
Vice chair of the governors Lucy Trinder added: “Parents and carers are warmly invited to visit us during our open day sessions.
“We really look forward to meeting you. We are so proud to be in here in the centre of Camborne."
The open day sessions will take place next Tuesday, October 23 from 2pm to 3pm; Thursday, November 8 from 4pm to 5pm and Tuesday, November 20 from 10.30am to 11.30am.
