New homes plan for Falmouth pump house site

AN OLD pump house off Marlborough Avenue on the Swanvale estate is set to be transformed into four new homes and a site workshop.
The plans were discussed by Falmouth Town Council’s planning committee on Monday evening.
Chairman Diana Merrett said: “What they want to do here is knock all of it down and put up a similar type of building and create new flats. I think it will look similar to what is there now and that it is a very nice design.”
Councillor Jenny Booth added: “I cannot see any problem with this.”
Councillors voted unanimously to support the plans. “A final decision on the application will now be made by Cornwall Council.”
