Open day at new Scorrier farm shop

Brian Etherington is opening a farm shop next month at Wheal Rose near Scorrier and the family run company is inviting everyone to a celebratory open Day on Saturday, November 17.
The farm shop will be offering a wide range of local produce including fish, vegetables and dairy products and will also house a baker.
Established in 1954, Etherington’s is expanding at pace. January 2013 will see the company open Cornwall’s first bespoke butchery school. Etherington’s Butchery Academy will teach traditional skills to the next generation of butchers, in a bid to keep the trade alive.
The upstairs area at the farm shop will accommodate the Butchery Academy as well as some conferencing facilities.
