Falmouth Labour Club flats plan

PLANS to turn the Falmouth Labour Club on Webber Hill into three one-bedroom flats have been welcomed by town planners.
Councillor Steve Eva addressed Falmouth Town Council’s planning committee in support of the proposals.
He said: “The gentleman who runs the club has tried to make it work as a business but it is failing.
“The government is telling us we need to find more housing, we need to make use of current buildings and of brownfield sites, and I have been told these flats will be for local people and not for students, which you would all welcome.
“I would ask you to support these plans, it is housing for our people in the town, and it is what we have been calling for for a long time.”
Councillors voted unanimously to support the plans which will now go before Cornwall Council for final approval.
