Two site managers at Taylor Wimpey Exeter's developments at Lowenna Fields in Mawnan Smith and Penn an Dre in Truro, Shaun Marsden and Mark Tranter, are celebrating after seeing off competition from thousands of others to win an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award.

David Bullock, production director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “I’d like to congratulate Mark and Shaun for winning these quality awards – their success is thoroughly deserved and we’ll all be supporting them as they progress through to the regional heats and hopefully to the grand final in London."

Shaun, site manager at Lowenna Fields, said: “It’s such an honour to win a Pride in the Job Quality Award, and really unexpected. I work with such a great team here, it’s really been a joint effort.”

Pride in the Job is the only UK-wide awards scheme that recognises the significant contribution of site managers who achieve the highest standards in new home construction. The awards are presented following a stringent judging process by NHBC inspectors, who perform spot checks and continuous assessment of developments throughout the year, and they recognise the commitment of each site manager to maintaining exceptional standards in every aspect of building work.

The scheme has been instrumental in raising the build quality of new homes in the UK for over three decades. The regional events take place in the autumn, whilst the Supreme Awards gala final will be held in London in January.
