With a new website, up to 140 stands and new features, Cornwall Business Show will be back for 2018, larger and better than ever.

As the event has evolved to become the largest business-to-business event in the county, it has opened up new sections to help charities, social enterprises and business start-ups.

Managing director Andrew Weaver said: “As the show matures, I think it’s important for us to commit to those who need a leg-up. This includes new start-ups that might otherwise not be able to afford to attend and social enterprises and charities that play an important role in our personal and business communities.

“I’m glad we are able to offer an affordable way for them to be at the show. Not only will it help help them gain some deserved attention but it will hopefully enable social enterprises and charities to meet with influential businesses that may wish to add value to what they already do.”

A total of 140 stands are planned, which is 30 more than last year. Eleven of those will be in the business start-up zone, for companies less than 18-months-old, and the same number of stands is being set aside for social enterprises and charities.

Mr Weaver added: “At a time when there is much uncertainty, not least because of the uncertain picture for trade with Europe, it is really important that local businesses underpin themselves with strong foundations based on the local economy.

"It’s something they can both rely and build upon to give themselves the best chances of success. Cornwall Business Show helps people to thrive in the local economy and celebrates much that is great about Cornish businesses. I’m really looking forward to the 2018 show.”

Cornwall Business Show will be held on March 15, at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge. Bookings are now being taken for stands. To reserve your stand or for more information visit cornwallbusinessshow.co.uk.
