Falmouth lawyers at Coodes Solicitors have been recognised for their legal expertise in the latest edition of one of the legal profession’s most respected guides, the Legal 500.

The 2017 edition recommends Coodes for advising individuals seeking compensation for injuries and medical negligence, and for handling contentious trusts and probate cases. It singles out Falmouth-based partner and head of personal injury and clinical negligence, Tim Goldburn for being “supremely experienced, confident and competent” with a “wonderful manner with clients.”

It highlights Coodes’ expertise in a wide range of personal injury and clinical negligence cases, including those relating to road traffic accidents, claims arising for surgical errors and delays in diagnosing and treating conditions. The team, which is based at Falmouth Business Park, has expanded in the last year and is now handling a growing number of cases across the region.

The national guide also ranks Coodes’ personal disputes team for its expertise in handling contentious issues around estate administration, such as acting for those who wish to challenge a will. It recommends partner and head of personal disputes, Colin Hunter, along with partner Melanie Grose and associate Ben Sidgwick. As well as advising on contentious trusts and probate, the personal disputes team help clients with disputes concerning landlords and tenants, property, land and agriculture, professional negligence and elder abuse.

Peter Lamble, chairman of Coodes Solicitors, said: “We are really proud that Coodes has been ranked in three sections of the Legal 500. This is a national guide that is extremely well respected so we are delighted to be listed alongside some of the UK’s top law firms.

“These recommendations are largely based on feedback from clients so the rankings reflect extremely well on our teams. We have been focused on growing our personal disputes, clinical negligence and personal injury to meet demand, so it is fantastic to have this recognition.”
