Backwards Television is currently in the pre production stages of a six part documentary series called 'How Cornwall Changed the World', and ais asking for help from the public.

Backwards TV, a new television production company based in Cornwall, is appealing to people who may have information to include in the series.

This series will be based around Cornish mining and how it influenced the modern world, featuring the discoveries and technical advances that happened here in Cornwall.

The film crew is looking for interesting stories, photographs, video, people of interest for interviews and locations.

A spokesman for Backwards TV said: "The series is be being shot in the height of summer 2014 so that we can show our county at its most beautiful. We have however already booked the first shoot date for Trevithick day on the April 26.

"The series is not linked to a specific broadcaster. The series will be made available to UK and International broadcasters upon completion, this format means we are able to maintain creative control on the content and style. We are aiming for first transmission early in 2015.

"The series shot will be using extremely high production values and it will be shot in ultra high definition, this gives the series longevity for the years to come therefore maximising repeat potential.
