Talented footballers in Cornwall will be able to showcase their skills this summer when the UK’s top football scouting agency heads west looking for talented players.

This August, UK Football Trials is staging a training session in Plymouth seeking promising players for an opportunity to play before national coaches and talent scouts.

UK Football Trials is the world’s most successful football trials company, and have helped more than 100 players secure trials at professional and semi-professional clubs in the UK.

Cornish-born UK Football Trials director Harry Price said: “We know there are extremely talented players in Cornwall who just need a chance. Having grown up in Cornwall, I know personally how tough it is to get access to pro clubs.

“We are looking for players aged 10-28, who would like to showcase their skills and have a chance to get scouted.”

Every young footballer dreams of becoming a professional footballer. However, with just a handful of professional clubs in the South West, talented players don’t have the same opportunities to showcase their talent as players in other parts of the country.

The training and coaching day in Plymouth will be led by professional footballer Guy Branston, who has more than 450 pro games to his name, along with a team of qualified assistant coaches.

Harry added: “All our coaches are UEFA qualified with professional club experience. Every player will pick up tips on improving and enjoy a fantastic standard of coaching during the trial day.”

The training format will provide players with a typical pro club session, followed by matches, with each player getting feedback assessments on 10 areas of their game given to them on the day.

UK Football Trials has a wide, nationwide network of coaches and scouts along with contacts within every level of the UK football pyramid from semi professional to the premier league.

Harry said: “While unfortunately the majority of players aren’t at the required standard, we have a fantastic record of placing talented players and have great independent feedback from the trial players and parents that can be seen on our website. We are delighted to provide this amazing opportunity for players in Cornwall.”

Guy Branston said: “I highly recommend UK Football Trials to footballers who want to show off their abilities to multiple scouts. I am really pleased to be asked to be the head coach for this event in Plymouth. I really want to help find talented lads for this area and aboard. Uk Football Trials and my Business allaboutballerz.com work closely together helping all the footballers options after these events. Not all will be successful on the day, but we open other avenues for possible success.”

The trial takes place on Friday, August 29, from 11am to 2pm. Spaces are very limited with and the cost of the trial is £50.
