EF 21/08/14 Three former students of Camborne Technical College are hoping to reunite with their fellow classmates.

It is after the trio recently met up for the first time in 54 years, having all taken an O-level course together at the college in 1960.

Jocelyn (Joss) Bray, Michael Sandercock and Gregory Mannell are hoping to find a number of fellow students, in order to hold a full reunion.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Leueen Jenkins, Patricia Dobson, Kathryn Penberthy, Philip Ivey, Elaine Boase, Michael Bolitho, Mary Woolston or Ann Frost, or any other fellow students, is asked to call Mike Sandercock on 01840 261715 or Joss Bray 01326 574917.

Joss, Mike and Greg recently met at the Sportsmans Arms in Four Lanes to catch up on half a century of news.

Joss, who travelled from Helston to attend the college and later became manager of Helston TSB before joining Kerrier District Council, said: “At our reunion Mike and Greg's recall was fantastic, being able to recall amusing incidents in great detail.

“We talked about our teachers, families, grandchildren, holidays and even politics, where our views were remarkably very similar. The photographs came out and the memories came flooding back.

“We all agreed it had been a great afternoon and that we had achieved something in life, with the foundations being laid at Camborne Tech.

“We would like to contact some of our fellow students and perhaps have another re-union .”
