The age of steam has been on show in Cornwall to mark the 50th anniversary of the last Atlantic Coast Express (ACE).
The Atlantic Coast Express ran from Waterloo to Ilfracombe, Bude, Padstow and Plymouth from 1926 to 1964, however many of the lines in north Devon and Cornwall have since closed.
Two locomotives shared the journey through Cornwall, with the 5029 Nunney Castle and 34046 Braunton sharing the honour.
Over the weekend the train visited many of the branch lines that are still open, including the Falmouth and Newquay lines.
Today, September 8, the ACE will head back up country from Penzance to Exeter, before returning to London Waterloo.
