With bright sunshine and a chill in the air, Autumn is upon us, and a mix of sunshine and locally heavy showers in lighter winds is forecast for the weekend.
There has been a fine start to the day today (Friday) but some showers in the west will extend eastwards across the county, with some likely to be locally heavy and thundery. Maximum Temperature 17C.
Tonight will see clear spells and further locally heavy and thundery showers. Patchy fog may also develop in the clearer spots. Minimum Temperature 6C.
On Saturday, locally heavy and thundery showers in the west will be slow-moving and gradually push eastwards through the day. There will also be some sunshine, especially later in the day. Maximum Temperature 16C.
The outlook for Sunday to Tuesday is for more of the same with a bright day forecast for Sunday, a chance of showers on Monday and dry with sunny spells for most. Chilly by night, with the risk of fog patches the temp is slowly dropping.
On the surf front there is not much to get excited about with mid sized waves in SW winds for Saturday on the north coast and small waves in offsore east winds for Sunday.
Monday to Wednesday will see terrible conditions with tiny waves in a chilly NW wind.
Keep an eye out for Thursday next week, with the arrival of a hefty swell expected, fingers crossed.
