A new bride who had to be rescued after heading out bodyboarding the day after her wedding was among the rescues for Newquay RNLI volunteers at the weekend.
The BBC are reporting that Jeffi Grant, 30, was rescued after her new husband Warren raised the alarm when she became standed on rocks at Porth on Sunday.
Warren had scrambled to safety and alerted coastguards that his new bride was stuck on Porth Island
RNLI lifeboat volunteers were also in action on Saturday after three people became trapped by the tide at near Whipsiderry.
The crews were called out after a member of the public raised the alarm when they were spotted on the shore.
Both inshore lifeboats were launched at around 3.20pm and crew members went ashore and led the group over rocks so the onshore lifeboat could pick them up and and transport them to the larger inshore lifeboat offshore.
