A group of musical children from the Mount Hawke Academy School Band have reached the top chart spot on iTunes with their original Christmas single, Bright Christmas Star.
The single is currently number one in the children's music charts on the UK iTunes Store.
Aged between 6 and 11 years old, the children of Mount Hawke Academy School Band are led by parents Angeline Morrison and Rebecca Vickerstaff.
Written and arranged by Angeline Morrison of Freestyle Records, the single is available as download-only on iTunes in time for Christmas.
Graham Jones of iconic ‘80s pop band Haircut 100 features on guitar. Graham, who is also a parent, recorded and produced the track for the children.
If all their dreams come true, Mount Hawke Academy School Band will be the first Cornish primary school children to make Christmas Number One!
