Firefighters from Falmouth, Truro and Redruth were called out in the early hours of this morning after a report of a fire at a bungalow at Carnon Downs.
The crews were sent to Quenchell Road just after 1.30am after a number of calls from neighbouring homes reporting the blaze.
The single storey dwelling was found to be well alight.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said that four compressed air breathing apparatus, two hose reels jets and two hydrants were used to help extinguish the blaze.
Crews also removing some roof tiles to assist extinguishing the remainder of the fire.
One casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.
